Shanghai, abbreviated as "Hu" or "Shen", is situated in the middle of China's east coast and it is a gate to the Yangtze River valley. It's population is of 17 million, of which 10 million live in urban area. You get to see great skycrapers and an awesome view at night from the Huangpu River.
It's China's largest economic and trade center, an industrial base as well as the leading port in the country. Definitely my favorite city in China. |
