Well, what can I say about Florence.

The first thing that I must say is that, this place is a shoppaholics heaven. At any time of the night or day, you can find a shop open and ready to take you money . . . .
My favourite would probably have been the leather shoe shops. Who knew that you could need so many leather boots : )

And of course there is the culture and architecture, which is absolutely amazing. There is of course Michael Angelo's David, the Palazzo Vecchio and my favourite, the Duomo (the Cathedral). All of these are worth a look, plus many more.
Most of the sights are within walking distance, so you should be able to see the main sights in a day, and then spend the rest of your time slowly taking in the other sights (while eating and shopping lots of course).
