View from the lookout - Wales

View from the lookout

Pen y Pass

This lookout is part of Snowdonia National Park. The views from here are spectacular. Especially on a sunny day like we had. There is a good size restaurant and gift shop there as well.

Snowdonia National Park - Wales
Snowdonia National Park

Snowdonia is to Wales as the Highlands are to Scotland. Eryri as it is locally known has some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain.
The park stretches over 213,200 hectares. It has within it's boundaries over 100 lakes and more than 90 hills and mountains. It is not hard to imagine the vistas and beauty of such a place.

Smithfield Restaurant - Wales

Smithfield Restaurant

Another good eaterie in Llangollen

The Smithfield Restaurant obviously did good lunches...and cheap too.
Roast lunches served daily. Only 6.95 pound!

Llangollen - Wales

Llangollen

Llangollen

This was to me the epitomy of a quaint Welsh village. It is actually an old market town in the Dee Valley. A bright and colourful little town with friendly people and lots of beautiful surrounding countryside.

Directions: Somewhere in the Dee Valley.
