    • Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Pack suitable footwear for walking around. If you plan to go to the waterfalls take along an old pair of sandshoes as they can get quite muddy. One friend who did the hike threw hers away afterwards!

    Toiletries & Medical Supplies: Mosquito repellent is recommended as I was told there is a small chance of contracting malaria. You will be spending many hours in the sun [ weather permitting of course ] so get yourself a good sunscreen.

    Photo Equipment: Take heaps of film as you'll be clicking away where ever you go.

     I visited Vanuatu about 25 years ago - doesn't sound like is has changed much!

     Sounds like American / Western Samoa. They permit drinking while driving and have Kava and the women rule the roosts! That said, don't know if I have to go Vanuatu but I would if permitted a free ticket! GREAT TIPS!!!    		angiebabe Wed Sep 12, 2007 22:37 UTC
