"Camping at Coshocton Lake Park" Coshocton by Punch

Coshocton Travel Guide: 10 reviews and 32 photos

My family and I tent camped at Coshocton Lake Park for the weekend. The camp ground is close to the river. It's mainly used by RVs, including some who appear to stay for a long period of time. Last year we camped at the sites near the river. These spots are very shady - they never receive sun. There were a ton of mosquitos and some our neighbors were arriving or leaving in the middle of the night for activities best left unimagined. This year we stayed "off of lot one" near the pool. Much nicer -- grass and not too many mosquitos. Plenty of space. Good bike riding for kids -- even small ones. It did rain one night and I was awoke by someone doing donuts in their car in a grassy area on the other side of the pool.

Pool Nearby

The swimming pool is right next door and the kids loved it. There was a fair amount of noise during the day, but they shut down pretty early and after the crowd left, being next to the pool wasn't a problem. It's sort of a mini-waterpark. Crowded but still pretty fun.

Roscoe Village

Roscoe Village is a nice, small historical village. The manned exhibits are interspersed between regular shops and homes. The docents were very helpful and did a great job, especially with the children. There were various activities and we all had a good time. Worth a half a day. You can walk, bike, or drive to Roscoe village from the park. The walk is doable even for a four year old.
