Sabah & Sarawak

Kota Kinabalu

Sabah

My first trip was a cheap travel industry deal to the 5 star Shrangri-La Rasa Ria resort in Sabah. If you want to escape & relax then this is a great place to do it. However, being quite active I could not sit around for a week in a hotel so I booked a 2 day Mt. Kinabalu trek. This was the highlight of the trip but it was nice to come back to a bit of luxury after such a climb.

I'll add a travelogue of the Mt Kinabalu trek at some point but in the meantime here is a link to the Shrangri La:

Limbang

Sarawak

My second trip to Borneo was booked through the tour operator Explore. It was a two week Jungle Adventure trip in Sarawak. The link below contains a full itinerary:

It was in complete contrast to the Sabah trip and really got you into the jungle with the local people.

If you would like to find out more about this trip take a look at my travelogue.
