Yay...
Finally, our first trip of the year! And it's to historical Cambodia...
Our plan was for 10 days: Siem Reap for the Angkor temples on the 3 day pass (USD40), free & easy + shopping on the 4th, express bus to the capital of Phnom Penh on day 5, public bus to Kompong Saom on the 6th day, return to PP on the 8th, return to SR on the 9th, and back home one day later.
We checked out the prices for flights to either SR or PP, and found out that Jetstar offered the lowest prices that we could realistically afford (SilkAir was supposed to have some promotion but it was a messy affair, and i still didn't get to the promotion page...). Once there, we were determined to take 'public transport' a la our previous Thailand trip. |
