Bangkok , Thailand

My girlfriend and i, on the streets of Bangkok
Krungthepmahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahailokphop Nopphosin Ratchathaniburirom Udomrathaniwetmahasa Amonphiman Awatansathit Sakkathatiya Witsanukamrasit is what we've come to know as Bangkok, or, City of Angels.

It is a place as chaotic as you could ever imagine, yet it has all these beautiful temples that stand out amidst the chaos. You really wonder how it is possible to approach these places of worship with all that is going on around you.

This 9 day trip will take us to historical landmarks like Ayutthaya, the 2nd capital of Thailand; Kanchanaburi, where WWII PoWs were taken to build the Death Railway and Bridge over the River Kwae; The Ancient City, an open-air museum of sorts; and in between, our favourite kind of destination, Ko Samui, for a laid-back, sun, sea and snorkelling holiday!
My gracious Thai friend and host, with family

My good friend from Thailand

Well, most of the food goodies that we brought home, as well as the sights that we have seen, would not have been possible without my good Thai friend and host, Chung. He brought us to: Pattaya for a temple visit and a Thai lunch, to buy the local goodies at Nong Mon Market, and brought us to feast on a fabulous seafood dinner while we were there. We were also ferried about most of the time in his Merc!
Thanks pal!
