I have mixed feelings about Tela. Its a very dirty city, and the beach is not great, but the people are very warm. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for someone looking for a relaxing vacation. (Try the island off Honduras' cost instead - the cheapes scuba diving in the world!) |
|  | The best part about Tela was our hotel - Mayan Vista Hotel. Sit on the balcony, smoke a Coiba (which only cost $1 at the hotel bar!!!!!) have a glass on Honduran rum - and take in the view (see picture). Definitely recommended. It made the trip to Tela worth the grueling bus ride!!! |

Mayan Vista Hotel sounds to be a nice place to stay in while in Tela! |
