Crossing The Border... - Province of Alberta

The Rockies...

After seeing all the pictures in travel magazines and postcards, and watching all the travel shows, I had such high expectations of the Rockies. I never could have believed it would be more beautiful in real life...From the chill in the mornings, to the fresh air and the spectacular scenery...my only wish??? More time....

My fav places...

I simply adored Jasper and Canmore...
Jasper because its a bit more laid back than banff, and I found the town to be just gorgeous.
Canmore I really dont have a bad thing to say at all. Small and qaint with superb local people who are quite willing to help you out with directions or to send you in the right direction for a bite to eat.

Teal coloured water, as perfect as can be!

I still cant believe the colour of the water in the rockies area, and these photos just dont do it justice. It was like my eyes were playing tricks on me. The water was so still so you get a photo with the perfect reflection in it.
It really was just spectacular!

Lee, Isn't Jasper a beautiful place! I stood at the same place at the Athabasca falls and took the same photo! Did you go up the tramway to the restaurant?
