Luna Park: Luna Park.
  • Tip Rating:
  • I have very fond memories of Luna park from my childhood. I remember going with the family, and having soo much fun. It was ALWAYS packed, and you'd have to line up for ages to get on a ride. I remember the rides being "huge" and scary...
Alot has changed since then, with the reopening of Luna Park causing much controversy. Its not as busy as it used to be, and during your visit you may find alot of the food stalls and rides to be closed...
None the less, I do recommend it as a must see. Its in a fantastic location, so take your camera. Great views of The Harbour Bridge and the city itself.
Entry is free, and you'll just have to pay for the rides you want to go on. You pay for "lunas". For example 12 lunas is 10 dollars. Then for each ride you want to go on, it may cost you 6 lunas. Therefore if you purchase 12 lunas, you'll get on 2 rides. They also have an unlimited all day pass, which is $39, allowing you to go on whatever you want all day long!

PLEASE NOTE - If your taking the car, dont park in the luna park carpark. The parking here is $5 per hour. You can park on the street for $2 per hour. In my experience it only takes a few minutes of driving around to find a spot. It's not that hard considering the money you will save!

Harbour Bridge / Anzac Bridge: The Harbour Bridge...

  • Sydney Harbour Bridge / Anzac Bridge
  • See the giant disco ball?

  • I think everyone coming to Sydney will see or use the bridge at some time or another. Great to take photos from the harbour foreshore. If your up to it, you can take a walk over it or even walk up it on a bridge climb tour.
Right now the bridge looks even more fantastic. After the new years celebrations they have erected a giant disco ball (which didnt work on new years, but is working now!). The disco ball is hanging from the centre of the bridge, and is made up of hundreds of little fans. They have lights flashing on it changing it all different colours. Add to it the chaser lights they have running across the bridge, and I personally think it looks fantastic. Infact, I'm kinda hoping it will stay!!!

Kinda spewing that I didnt get the photo in the night time when the disco ball was lit up!!! I guess it looks kinda ordinary here huh? See my Sydney home page for further bridge pics!!!
