Planning our Itinerary... Its fair to say my best friend and I are chalk and cheese, it certainly makes things interesting. I think my travel agent thought we were nuts planning a trip together. How we were going to incorperate what we both wanted into our trip...I could see the agents mind ticking over. We however, know each other so well we just naturally incorporate each others interests into the big plan... So we ended up with a trip that included a bit of everything. 1 week in North Thailand 1 week Central Thailand 1 week South Thailand |
Our visit to Bangkok, was my personal favourite. Bangkok was such an interesting place to be. With all the hussle and bussle, so many things to see and do. I guess for me, the first thing that pops into mind is TRAFFIC! I've never seen anything like it before... |
World Vision Sponsor Child... My girlfriend has a sponser child in Thailand. So we decieded to pay her a visit whilst we were there. It turned out she lived in a tiny little village in a place called Roi-et. It took us 6 hours by bus to get to Roi-et, where we were met by our world vision rep. He was to be our translater for the duration of our visit. And what a visit it was...We were offered live bugs upon our arrival, and were transported around the village in the back of a ute. We faced our first real hiccup when we arrived at a silk rug making gathering, only to find we were seriously heat exhausted and nearly passed out (after being seated in the ute for such a long period)... |
