It's a beautiful monument. You can walk right up to it and everything--or at least you could when we were there. You can also purchase tickets to go up into the monument, but we didn't do that since there was a really long wait and our family has bad knees....sorry about the picture...it was starting to rain when we were there.

Women's Professional Soccer--FREEDOM

This past summer, my family went to a Freedom game. It was pretty cool. My sisters and my dad are the soccer fans mostly, but it was fun to get into and the won!! Yay! I would recommend if you're in DC when Freedom is scheduled to play. There was a low turnout to watch the game we went to, but women's pro soccer is just as interesting, if not more interesting as men's pro soccer--and besides you have a good chance of seeing Mia Hamm play if nothing else!

So go support Freedom and the other women's pro teams...!

Directions: Just ask where the soccer stadium is...and it's accessible to the metro system, which makes it even easier to get there!
