Gozo is smaller than Malta and to get there one had to catch a boat from Cirkewwa, Malta. The trip is only about 35 mins away and one can travel by car too. The harbour of Gozo is called Mgarr. Since Gozo is much smaller the villages are closer to eachother therefore the distances are shorter from one village to another ! Gozo is much quieter than Malta with less people, less shops and less nightlife and more greenery !

Gozo in my opinion is much nicer than Malta because it is less chaotic unless you go in Santa Marija that is in August or in carnival when loads of Maltese go up to Gozo to celebrate carnival !! Don;t go in these times if you are in for some peace and quiet. However the carnival in Gozo is considered to be a must if you in for a good laugh !

This is a photo of one of the boats that is used to cross over to Gozo from Malta and back to Malta. When you board on the boat you don;t pay however you pay the fee when you are coming back to Malta. One can cross over to Gozo with their car too. On Board you will find public conveniences and also a cafeteria.
