Manikata, Mzieb, San Martin and Xemxija

San Martin and Xemxija (since there is no section)

Xemxija taken from San Martin Hill
Manikata and Xemxija are adjacent to eachother. Xemxija is so small that the travel pages here did not let me open up a section on Xemxija but most probably people open it up under St. Pau's Bay as they are so close and Xemxija is very small. There are a few very nice hotels in Xemxija. This place is a very laid back and quiet place in Winter however in Summer it becomes quite popular. There not many beaches here as the water is not so clean however there is this place I used to go to swim at, as a little girl called 'Fekruna'. I used to fishing very often in this place as my uncle had a Summer residence there. To go to this place you have to pass the Beachhaven disco and there is a little inlet at the side of the disco. There are no sandy beaches and the beach there is quite rocky however I still remember that we used to swim across the bay to this small snady beach just under the Church of Xemxija which in my times used to always seem as if it was falling off the cliff under the Capuchins decided to build a new one which is presently the one there is today !.

Xemxija

This is a photo of the new road built recently coming down from St Paul's Bay towards Xemxija. They took ages to build this road.

Xemxija Promenade

This is a photo of Xmexija promenade which in Summer will be quite populated with people however during the Winter period quitens down a bit ! In this bay many people go fishing and also birth their boats as it is easy access for them to go to Comino, Gozo and st.Paul's Islands from this bay.
