 Exactly - most people are just scraping by-- and you MUST understand that includes many people that you are expecting to increase the cost of an often already astronomically priced service by 20%.

 We don't expect New Yorkers to susbsidise staff in the service sector of the UK, so why the hell should we.

 The majority of servers make more money under the current tipping system than they would as low-skilled salaried employees. Servers in good restaurants can pull down $150 in tips a day. That’s $40,000.a year. That’s ridiculous for that skill level.
