globalvagrant Tue Dec 23, 2008 11:53 UTC Exactly - most people are just scraping by-- and you MUST understand that includes many people that you are expecting to increase the cost of an often already astronomically priced service by 20%. | twosacrowd Thu Sep 20, 2007 11:37 UTC We don't expect New Yorkers to susbsidise staff in the service sector of the UK, so why the hell should we. | steamboatII Thu Jul 19, 2007 20:53 UTC The majority of servers make more money under the current tipping system than they would as low-skilled salaried employees. Servers in good restaurants can pull down $150 in tips a day. That’s $40,000.a year. That’s ridiculous for that skill level. | aaron717 Fri Dec 1, 2006 02:26 UTC don't start a family if you don't first have a real job |
