TORONTO VT MEETING SEPTEMBER 23 - 24 - 25 2005 | CN Tower and Toronto Skyline |
When it was brought up a few months ago, that it would be fun to have a VT Meeting in Toronto, we had no idea how large and how successful it would turn out to be. Kudos to Jane (CDNJane) and Laura ( Hayward 68 ) for planning and organizing such a wonderful weekend.
Friday, September 23
Some VT'ers have arrived already, but most will be arriving today. Hans, Kat and I arrived around 3:00 p.m. and then checked into our hotel - the Novotel , in North York.
Jane met us in the lobby at 6:00 p.m. and then together we walked to the nearby Metro Station where we took the Metro to Pappas Grill in Greektown, where our Friday VT dinner-meeting was held. We all had a blast taking pictures and getting acquainted with each other.
Saturday, September 24
After a walking tour of Toronto, we all were to meet again for dinner at 6:30 at Le Papillon French Restaurant on Church Street. Again another fantastic evening.
Sunday, September 25
Brunch at the Hot House Cafe' at 10:00 a.m.
After checking out of our Hotel, Hans, Kat, Jane and I drove to the area where the Sunday Brunch was to be held. I must say that it is absolutely the best Brunch I've ever had. They put on quite a spread.
After brunch, we walked to the St. Lawrence Market where there was a Antique Market going on. We then headed for the QE highway and Niagara Falls. It was Kat's first time there.
Update: Sunday, October 8 & 9, 2006
Hans and I went to Toronto to see Berni and Carl. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet this amazing couple. Also had the pleasure of meeting Wendy (Wendy67) and Brent.
Update: Saturday & Sunday Nov. 11 & 12, 2006
Hans and I again went to Toronto to see Funnybee, her brother Tristan, Marie-France and Spgood. Tristan was also celebrating his 25 th Birthday. |

Hi Lori! First time I went to Toronto I wasn't with wife, so I waited for her before I went up CN Tower (second visit) - can't enjoy the view without her. Very nice Toronto pages - I have to start mine someday...Norman :) | hopang Thu May 14, 2009 16:32 UTC
