The RENOIR HOTEL is located right in the heart of downtown San Francisco. It is close to major stores, like Macy's, close to restaurants and take-out food, and a short walking distance to the start of the Cable Cars on Powell Street.
Hans and I stayed here for two nights, Thursday August 5 and Friday August 6.
Unique Qualities: Although our room was small as we reserved an economy room, it was sufficient for us. The hotel lobby had a lounge area where you can read or just watch the hustle bustle of a busy hotel. The front desk was friendly and always helpful. A busboy is available if you need your suitcases brought up to your room.

Glad you are so enthusiastic about San Francisco! I lived and worked in Berkeley for several years in the 1960s, and often crossed to bay to visit San Francisco. Also we used to do live radio broadcasts from Alcatraz when it was occupied by the Indians. | traveldave Tue Jun 19, 2007 23:44 UTC
