THE VIBRANT CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO What can I say? But I can sing "I left my heart in San Francisco". We absolutely loved San Francisco--from the cable car ride to Fisherman's Wharf (of course we had chowder in a sourdough bowl). We took the ferry to elegant Sausalito with all its quaint shops and restaurants. Enjoyed spectacular views of Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge. And went down "the crookedest street in the world" Lombard Street---TWICE. All in all it was an amazing experience.

Glad you are so enthusiastic about San Francisco! I lived and worked in Berkeley for several years in the 1960s, and often crossed to bay to visit San Francisco. Also we used to do live radio broadcasts from Alcatraz when it was occupied by the Indians. |
