Granada, Nicaragua

by Albernfrau - last update: Jan 18, 2006

Charming Granada, Nicaragua

Granada, Nicaragua is a wonderful colonial city. It is full of colourful buildings and is a must see if you travel in Nicaragua. The colonial charm is everywhere. There are lots of activities to do and even doing nothing is enjoyable in this friendly city. Of all of Central America, we found Nicaraguans to be the friendliest and the happiest. We, and other people we met, also think that Nicaraguan children are the cutest children in the world. Every day I was in awe of how adorable all of them were. The only drawback to this city is just how noisy it is all the time. There seemed to always be firecrackers, parades, music, etc. The noise occurs at all hours and all locations. Nicaraguans love noise. It makes for interesting travel nevertheless.
A tour of Las Isletas is a must!
Another highlight are the cute children!
