We came here of course because it was the main set for the movie Amelie! Yes, it does look a little different than in the movie but essentially it is the same. I was sooooo excited to eat here!!! If you are a fan of the movie you have to go. The only thing was it was packed with people. I also wanted to take more photos but I didn't want to annoy people so the photos on the inside were limited. Outside though I took lots! The food was good too.

Favorite Dish: Creme Broulee is named after Amelie so you have to have it!

Angelina's is as great as everyone says it is. Eating there was the highlight of my trip. Although there can be a line it moves quickly. The menu is fabulous as there is so much to choose from. The service is wonderful and the decor is beautiful.

What can I say it is McDonald's. It was just what you expect except the names of things are different. I loved ording a Royale with Cheese better known to us as a Quarter Pounder with Cheese.

Always a great place to use the washroom.

Because we were on a strict budget we often ate from street vendors.

Favorite Dish: Hot dog with cheese. The hotdogs are so long. They are twice the size we are accustomed to in North America.

If you want to save money buy your food at Supermarkets or street markets. Food is cheap and it is a lot of fun as you get to feel like a local.

Favorite Dish: Chocolate chip croissants, cheese, meats, salads.

This was the first restaurant that we ate in in Paris. We picked a good one. We had chocolate crepes with tea and the crepes were out of this world! The service was fabulous. We were intimidated to even go into a restaurant to speak French but when we tried our server greatly appreciated it and we even had a few laughs with him.

So many people had recommended this chain of restaurants as a budget meal option. I have to say that it wasn't incredibly cheap by N.A. standards but by French it was and I tell you I never would have known it was a chain unless someone had told me. The restaurant was wonderful--the service outstanding, the food fabulous and the decor was excellent. This was our "big splurge" for dinner as we are BUDGET travellers. You will also like the restaurant if you want to a lot of choice and perhaps dare I say you can eat something not too "french". I guess I mean you can have a meal where you know what everything is on your plate. For instance I had roast salmon with vegetables and my hubby had the grand rotisserie which included roast duck, chicken, beef and ribs.

    Favorite Dish: See description.

For those of you on a strict budget like us here are some food suggestions:
Shop at a supermarket and make your own meals - cheese, croissants, salads, meats, fruit
Eat from Street Vendors - crepes, hot dogs, etc.
Choose inexpensive menu items - croque monsieur - Grilled cheese
McDonalds and other fast food chains

Great Paris tips! I'm going in December and I will definitely be coming back here before I go for some tips on where to go. I can't wait to see where Amelie worked! I definitely am going to enjoy some crème brulée.

Great! One typo error: Creme Broulee shoud be crème brulée :) I love the "fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulin" movie too :)
