Welford - A phenomenal display of Snowdrops

by easyoar - last update: Feb 20, 2005

Snowdrops at Welford Hall
I have never seen so many snowdrops in one place as I saw in Welford. There must be many million there. It's not the sort of place you would normally go to, but around the middle of February, Welford Park opens its doors a few days a week and lets the public in to see what could well be the largest display of snowdrops anywhere in the world.

Pros:"The Snowdrops in the middle of February are a Must-see"
Cons:"Very little else to see"
In A Nutshell:"Make sure you visit in February!"

Never had a car in Britain so I don't think I'll ever go to see the snowdrops. We do have snowdrops in Poland but later and not whole fields of them. I once saw masses of bluebells near Coventry. Thanks for your photos.
