Amaya - Off the Spanish Beaten Path

by easyoar - last update: Apr 24, 2006

Amaya - Road sign entering the village
Amaya is about as remote as you can get in Spain. Miles off the main road, it may well be a dying village, awaiting its trip to gost town status.

San Juan Bautista is a kind of palce I would like to visit. :))) I should admit that the alieans seem to be completely out of place in such an off the beaten path place :)

Interesting bittersweet look at a dying village. When I cycled around Spain in 1963 there were still Falange monuments like that just about everywhere.
