Traveled to Rome for five days with my daughter in mid August. We had a wonderful and problem free time. Everyone was polite and very helpful. Felt very safe everywhere we went. August is a very hot time for the city but it is do-able. Just take an afternoon break and start out again in the evening. We went to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona all in the evening and it was beautiful. Walk a lot and find some wonderful neighborhoods. We found the shopping wonderful and because it was the end of the summer there were many sales. |
