When was it that I fell in love with Rome? I think it must've been the first time I watched Adry Hepburn in "Rome vacation" film. I loved the movie and I promised myself that one day when I'd grow up, I'd definitely go to Rome! I grew up and everytime I wanted to go to Italy, something would get in my way (visa hassles, changing jobs, etc.) and finally when I registered for EUCO in Milano, I knew where I'd be going next ;-)
We arrived in Rome early morning by train... it was raining and I was very sleepy to be completely excited. But better late than never. It felt so good to be in Rome, to be walking down the streets where once emperors passed, passing by the greatest historical monuments, seeing the amazing architecture upclose and personal, feeling the place, its people and blending in with them... |
