The Regent Hotel was one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay in.
It is managed by the Four Seasons Group.
The room was gorgeous-luxurious and comfortable without trying too hard. The king-sized bed was firm and came with not 2, not 3, but 4 large fluffy pillows (32 inches x 16 inches - yes I measured them!). There is a large screen TV that swivels to some degree and sound system extends to the bathroom (you can bath in the tub while listening to the TV!). There is also a clock-radio which is also a CD player.
Unique Qualities: The service of every staff, from those at the Reception, to the Concierge and wait staff at the Restaurants and those at the Fitness Centre was impeccable and best of all, almost unobstrusive.
Bathroom:-do you find that your bathroom floor always gets wet after a shower? Or perhaps you can't decide on whether the shower curtain goes INSIDE or OUTSIDE the bathtub? Don't worry! At the Regent, they give you TWO shower curtains, so one falls nicely inside the bath-tub, and one falls outside, thus keeping your bathroom floor, perfectly dry, as it should be...
Pool opens from 7 am to 7 pm and the access is with your keycard. Fitness Centre is open from 6 am to 10 pm. They have sports shoes on loan.
Food: The breakfast and lunch buffets were superb (including raw oysters, smoked salmon, sashimi ...what an indulgence during lunch - my modified Atkins diet LOL). What can I say, I gorged myself!
Rate below is the Single rate, with Buffet Breakfast.

I enjoyed myself tremendously. The service was impeccable and the food was marvellous.
Unique Qualities: Very good seminar room (although the air-conditioning was too col!), the tea-time snacks were delicious! Their staff even walked our group all the way to the Tanglin Mall where we were scheduled to have dinner. Check-out was fast and efficient.

We were assigned a room on the thirteenth floor (13 is lucky number for Asians!), and it looked and felt brand new, all 32 sq meters of it! The room was beautiful and tastefully decorated, and had a quiet elegance. The king-sized bed was remarkably comfortable, with 4 lovely over-sized pillows, 3 other pillows, and a heavenly white comforter. The adjustable air-con was set at a comfortable 22 degrees, and had another gauge to show the actual room temperature. This hotel has been set up for the business traveller, and it came with web access thru the TV or high-speed internet cables where you just plug your notebook in and you're on your way! Three chairs, a mini-bar, well stocked coffee and tea making facilities, in-room iron and ironing board, in-room safe, bathrobes, bedroom slippers, ample closet space, and very ample lighting which was still warm and elegant.
Unique Qualities: Lovely lobby area (see pics), with nice restaurants. The rate we paid was with breakfast for 2 persons and the breakfast itself was excellent. Rate stated is per person, and was on a pre-payment basis, obtained thru the internet.

Bathroom had a shower stall and a bath-tub, and it was sparkling clean and new too. It also came with a weighing scale which told me that I had put on 2 kg after only 4 days! URGHH! :-)( (perhaps it was the excellent breakfast...) In an excellent location, with its own shopping mall, the Parco Bugis Junction. 24 hour fitness centre-Clark Hatch One shared indoor jacuzzi-with different times for men and women to use it. Nice pool, small child's pool and an outdoor jacuzzi Special/outstanding qualities:The service was simply excellent. "One-stop" service centre attends to all your needs and they were really fast when I asked for a few extra items, the wait staff at the restaurants seem to anticipate all your needs!
Unique Qualities: Lovely little touches: at the poolside, the staff will bring you a cold towel or some pieces of cold fruit, complimentary! Price below is stated on a twin share, per person rate (we purchased it off the internet, and used the prepaid option)

We stayed at the South Tower so the rooms were clean but decor and layout rather old-fashioned. Wall and furnishings were in gray and cream. The bathrooms were newly refurbished, and had two basins, his and hers! There is a Main Wing which is grander and more luxurious.
Unique Qualities: The location cannot be beat. It is at the centre of Orchard Road and within walking distance to Ngee Ann City (Takashimaya), Borders Book Shop, Scotts Food Court, Wisma Atria and Centrepoint. Also very close to two MRT stations. The Asian Buffet Breakfast served at the Pine Court Chinese Restaurant on Level 36 was lovely. The ambiance of the restaurant was extremely pleasant and I was instantly transported to Beijing! The view from the restaurant was very good. The Chicken Rice at the Chatterbox Coffee House on street level is among the most famous in Singapore. This was a very popular hotel for Asian tourists. Malaysians, Singaporeans and Brunei residents enjoy special rates, which includes breakfast. Tips for SuperMums: There is a hotel pool on the 5th Level of the Main Tower. It is child-friendly and has a splash pool for kids. However, the Spa and Fitness Centre is located on the 37th Level of the South Tower, which is somewhat far away from the pool.

Spacious, well appointed rooms & bathrooms. A comfortable king-size bed. This is a rather old hotel, but it has been well maintained on the inside and outside. At the centre of the hotel, there is a high ceiling and glass skylight that lets the sunlight in. The natural light creates a warm glow throughout the lobby area and along the passageways leading to your room. The fitness centre is well equiped and well maintained, and the indoor jacuzzi tub is in good working order. If you get a chance, do visit the fitness centre. The outdoor pool is rectangular and quite nice. From the pool, you have a view of the surrounding Marina Mandarin area, all the way to Raffles City and Suntec City. The lobby lounge is a popular meeting place for the locals and visiting businessmen. A favourite here is ice-cream served in a long glass, with a drink of cafe latte, or a colourful cocktail.
Unique Qualities: On Sundays, awaken to bird song! Yes, imagine the thrill, you wake up on a Sunday morning and you may imagine that you have been transported to a rainforest... What's going on, you ask yourself. Open your room door, take a look at the corridor and you will spot the bird cages that have been cleverly hung up on every corner. The songbirds call and sing to one another creating a pleasant and delightful wake-up call. Location: Next door to Marina shopping mall (Metro, NTUC supermarket) and within walking distance (thru the underground walkway which is a shopping haven by itself!) to Raffles City (Sogo) and the Chjimes nightspots. You can also take an MRT or taxi to Orchard Road (Below S$10) from here. Tips for Supermums: If you get the chance, walk through the underground walkway to Raffles City and take a look at the ladies accessories & casual wear that are on sale here. You could also pick up some delicious bread at Bread Talk for the kids. Special weekend packages are available for Singaporeans, Malaysians and Brunei nationals from time-to-time. Rate stated below are on a twin-share basis and does not include breakfast.
