Putrajaya: Putrajaya district
  • Tip Rating:
  • Kuala Lumpur Putrajaya
  • The main mosque at putrajaya

  • This is probably the nicest district/zone i've ever seen in the whole of malaysia all my life. The roads are well paved, the streets are totally clean, the lamp posts are all working and everything is beautiful here.

The sight of the beautiful and majestic mosque as well as the govt buildings make the place a trip worth going. It is most important to go there during daytime and esp when it's hot and sunny so as to admire the full scenic view of the place with its magnificent buildings surrounding the area

Directions: Travelling from NS-highway, it is IMPOSSIBLE to miss PUTRAJAYA exit. Take the exit that leads to KLIA and putrajaya, from there on, it's a smooth drive there with no traffic jams

Petronas Twin Towers: Petronas Twin Towers Skybridge

  • A definite MUST SEE when anyone goes to KL. I finally got my chance to go up on this skybridge after learning about the tips and timing to get the tickets.

Daily tickets are 700 available for Tues-Fri, and 1400 for Sat-Sun. It's only 10 mins for u up there but it's more than enough time for u to catch a few great pics w/o rushing or squeezing with around as it's only around 10-12 ppl per group that goes up per session.

Viewing starts at every 15 mins interval from 9:00 to 9:15 to 9:30 etc etc. It's open from 9am to 6pm daily.

Directions: Take a cab anywhere in KL and tell the cab driver PETRONAS , u won't get anywhere wrong and it should not cost more than 8RM per trip. OFFER 8RM when the taxi stops, if they don't accept 8RM, just let it go and the cab will accept the 8RM fare instantly.

    Bukit Bintang: Bukit Bintang Nightlife
  • Tip Rating:
  • Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang
  • Bukit Bintang Street
  • by blue_b
  • Send Photo to a Friend
  • Nitelife at Bukit Bintang is always great. The nights are filled with rock/pop music by local live bands who play on the streets for free. Most of the bands play slow rock / light rock stuff from Eric Clapton, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits and 80s stuff. There is a mini-amphitheatre that is located just in front of BB plaza near the Starbucks sitting area and a band plays there at 9:30 pm everynight.

Shopping at the mega-connected complex of BB Plaza + Sungei Wang Plaza + Parkson Grand makes it a super attraction for all ladies. The men also can get indulged in the shopping mood with all the available "cheap" DVDs in the shopping complex as well.

The streets are also filled with entertainers who come down to loiter around and set up shop around there with their street-dancing aka FIDO DIDO style. Great entertainment as always.

Suria KLCC: The "lepak" corner for KL
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Kuala Lumpur Suria KLCC
  • Suria KLCC on a sat. afternoon
  • by blue_b
  • Send Photo to a Friend
  • Given a place so big, with a large fountain at the center, along with the tallest twin towers, it makes this place the place to be to "lepak" (Malay for loiter) for everyone in KL.

People from all walks of life, young/old, come together at Suria KLCC to just spend the weekend away at this spot, they set up picnics, sit by the side, or some can just simply spend the day away with friends just hanging around the area..

Every evening, the water fountain dances with the lights and will cease at around 8pm for the evening prayer and the prayer chants are aired loudly over the Suria KLCC PA system.
