Nice hotel. A good choice if you've booked here. The resort entrance is very grand and the main lobby spectacular. The rooms are large and impressive - try to get a sea view - and the beach is amazing. Sometimes hard to get a lounger, but just go to the jetty and swim with the fish and you won't want to sunbathe! The hotel isn't perfect however - the restaurants are very average - mexican one awful, lebanese one mediochre, lunch places by the pool or on the beach are fine. There is also no nice bar - the lobby bar is ok but hasn't got much atmosphere, and the fun pub/disco isn't particularly fun. The service is a bit slapdash but on the whole they try hard. I'd advise staying in this hotel and then going to places like the Hyatt, the Sharm Dreams, the Ritz for dinner and drinks - not forgetting the Iberotel Bar overlooking the Red Sea. Beautiful!!

Unique Qualities: The jetties are wonderful, the views from the hotel are beautiful. Lovely rooms.

What a fantastic hotel! Me and my girlfriend are not easily impressed (we were a little disappointed with the Intercontinental last year) but this hotel is truly excellent. The rooms and balconies are lovely, there are a few nice bars, the general layout of the hotel is stunning, and the service is good. Unless you want to splurge on the four seasons I'd recommend this above every other hotel in sharm. One drawback I suppose is that it has no outstanding restaurant, but the best thing to do is to get a taxi to other hotels or to naama bay for some great food (sala thai at the hyatt, Frantoio at the 4 seasons, On Deck - stunning - at the Iberotel Lido in Naama Bay.

Unique Qualities: The beach is amazing, really beautiful, the pools lively and so clean, the beach bar was lovely, the tapas in the tapas bar very good, the arabic cafe bar in the centre modelled on an old souk and the perfect place to chill after going out in the evening. The general ambience is of a romantic, laid back andalusian village.
