I have been coming to Bourton on the Water ever since I was a child. Yes, it is a bit of a tourist trap nowadays, but there is something about the Cotswold stone buildings, tiny bridges and quaint visitor attractions that keeps drawing me back.

Plus, it's a nice hour and half country drive away from my house!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Picturesque, lots of small attractions to visit
Cons:Very touristy - can be crowded.
