The charms of Charlestown

During my recent visit to Southern Rhode Island, I was pleasantly greeted by the smell of the ocean, cool breezes, and friendly locals. From my stay in Charlestown, the beaches, Ninigret salt pond, ferry to Block Island, jaunts to Newport and Mystic CN, were all accessible in 1/2 hour or less.

Variety of Travel Experiences

Mohegan Bluffs, Block Island RI

Staying in Southern Rhode Island, one can vary their vacation experiences. Go to Newport to tour mansions of the golden era, shop, walk the cliff walk and ride on a sail boat, go to Block Island and bike to lighthouses, bluffs, and rocky coasts, go to the beaches and salt ponds of Charlestown to relax, go to Mystic Seaport CT and learn the nautical history of colonial times.
