My Wife, Chris, arranged a trip to Valencia as a birthday treat for me. We have already been to several places in Spain and fancied somewhere a little different. We found that 3 nights was long enough to see the main sights - a week would have been too long.
We got cheap flights and a great rate at the 3 * Expo Hotel which is just to the north of the city centre. There are plenty of historical buildings and museums to keep you busy. The Metro system is good or the City is small enough to wander round on foot. |

| | Make sure that you visit L' Oceanografic Centre which was one of the highlights of our visit to Valencia. We were a bit disappointed with the science centre and the cinema which are on the same site but the sea life centre is brilliant. Make sure that you allow plenty of time for your visit as there is lots to see. |
If you need some time away from the City head to the beach at La Malvarrosa which is easily reached by Metro Line 4.
The morning that we left home to travel to Valencia it was snowing so hard that we nearly missed our plane so it felt good to be out in the warm sun. | | | Playa de La Malvarrosa, Valencia. |
