Born on an island in the ocean, raised near the jungle, immigrated for the Netherlands, it was Fashion what brought me back to my tropic-roots. Trendy Harper's Bazar booked me for an absolutely wonderful and thrilling trip to the far East... Singapore !!!
With a beautiful model, a great photographer and a stunning producer/styliste we had such a perfect fashion booking. Staying at Singapore for 7 days, only for 3 productions ... that is pampering ...The four of us enjoyed every minute, coddled our selves, and produced some great photographs too.
Singapore got the door opening to my mother country, ... Indonesia, Girdle Of Emerald. Thanks for visiting.
Theme Harper's Bazar had been chosen, was "Fashion In The Tropic". To the photographer a "peanuts-job". Wrong thought! To catch the way of the Far East in a tropical way made him a nervous breakdown, not knowing where to shoot the pics. He got too confused of all the beauty around (photo-technical). However the model (out of Milan, Italy) and the producer/styliste, and the tropical dreams of a weird Indo make-up artist, made it a phantistic job, and we managed producing some super pics ...
Get the river-boat trip! We got very impressed by the landviews from river. Some critics contend that Singapore has sold its soul for material wealth. Love it or hate it, just enjoy this S'pore Skyline ...
Sailing at the mouth of the Singapore River, at The Fullerton Singapore, you'll see the formerly General Post Office, and meet the Singapore symbol, the Merlion, a half lion half fish creature ... a myth going back to the roots!
Singapore Skyline
- Pros:Cosmopolitan, clean-clean, wonderfull food, great buys, history, symbolics, door Asia
- Cons:Hot, humidity, non-smoking, no bubble-gum
- In a nutshell:SINGAPORE COSMOPOLITAN DOOR-KEEPER OF ASIA
