I love the "Castizos" ... original Madrileens. Their culture and music is related to the culture and music of surrounding Castilla/Castille. Its sound is the one of the gypsies, so famous for their temperament and festivals.
Going to Madrid visit the Museum Del Prado. Madrids most famous museum collects one of the most great art of paintings and belong to one of the richest museums of the world. Includes the Spanish painting art of Goya & Velazquez. See the Bruegel, Jheronimus/Hieronymus Bosch and Rubens. I've been lucky to see the art collection by Mexican Frida Kahlo. Tremendous, fabulous!
PLAZA MAYOR is the most important square, though PUERTA DEL SOL (Gate To The Sun) is a traffic circus only found in Madrid. Have a sit & drink here and, dream away the noisy pressure around.
