Pienza Travel Guide: 76 reviews and 264 photos
Tuscany (Toscana in Dutch) is one of Italy's world famous regions. Tuscany, with its fairy-tale-like, sloping landscapes, moving from mountain to the sea. Tuscany, with its centres filled with museums next to historical buildings and cathedrals, romantic streets in towns like at Florence, Pisa, Sienna. And the ancient Etruscan & Roman ruins are legendary!
I stayed at Pienza; a lovely little town near Siena known for its panoramic location on the hills of Val d'Orcia. It lies on two slopes of the valley, formed by the river Tresa. The municipal territory of Pienza (122.53 square kilometers) contains preciously rare and beautiful examples of Renaissance architecture. Thanks to its position, Pienza held great importance during the Middle Ages. Thanks to its well-known beauty we produced a gorgeous fashion catalogue ...
I have to go back one day for sure ...
thanks for visiting.
- Pros:Beautiful landscapes, history, renaissance, picnic-time
- Cons:Party-time For The Spirit - Don't Get Loose
- In a nutshell:Dreaming Away At Tuscany Becomes Reality

Nice page i love the Lean Against The Pisa Tower picture!
Tuscany is a very historical part of Italy, hope to be able to visit one day :)
When my husband and I stayed in Pienza, we loved it too. Thanks for renewing old memories.
Pienza sounds like a beautiful little town!
cool page!
Really enjoyed your tips on the Tuscan landscape, wonderful writing! Interesting stuff about the Etruscans, too.
