What to pay: I bought the "Berber lipstick" for just a few Dirham. No make-up artist at home had ever heard of it! So great buy.

In The Souk: Carpets In Hot Colours

When you want to buy carpets, it's good to know there are 2 different types. The old ones are named "Rural carpets", next to the modern "Urban carpets". You pay for the value by the number of knots (so go for a count), or strands of warp I heard. When you absolutely donot know anything about this, just follow your heart, ... and visual attraction ot the harmonious combination of beautiful colors.

What to buy: You'll find lot of touristshops here, though it isn't that traditional. Moroccan handicrafts maybe look great, it is better to visit a large souk (local market), or go up in the mountains to the Berber people. Ofcourse you'll hear the sound of bargaining, that is a habit and tradition! I love the coloured carpets, and could cover my whole place endowed with these carpets ...

What to pay: Well... to start some 90 Euro will do good, though you won't get away to pay some 900 Euro ... guess when you really want a kind of special coloured one, you'll pay the price!
