Celebrate your birthday at Agadir, well-known as Miami of Morocco. And for sure you'll have a wonderfull "many-happy-returns". But when you're happen to be there on your birthday doing a working trip for fashion pictures, it is some different. Then you'll be sure of a great happening along a European resort town with a huge outspread beach and a variety of food, bargains and nightlife. Just don't come here thinking this has anything to do with Morocco ...
thanks for visiting.
Agadir ... too different from any other Moroccan city with a totally different city culture and some different architecture. We regret the tragedy of the earthquake of 1960, killing over 15.000 people.
Some people dislike Agadir, while others find it all very attractive. One thing is definately true: for every year that pass, streets become more and more lively, and more and more Moroccan elements grow into the world. Don't worry,... the desert still is real close ...
Agadir in modern-days got rebuilt 2 km South of the earthquake epicentre. Its airport is Al Massira Airport and feel welcome when entering Agadir downtown area by Northerly seaport. You'll enjoy a rather touristy, seaside resort with a large, sandy beach. Not that typically Moroccan but with large buildings, modern hotels with European-style cafes, and wide roads. Surprise surprise bumping into an advertisement hanging over our heads...

Thanks for visiting my Marrakech page, Roy. Great tips here on Agadir and the surrounding parts. I hope to return to Morocco one day and see this part of the country. Sounds like Agadir is a bit too touristy, but the nearby areas look fantastic!
Very enjoyable and interesting tips on the most fascinating part of Morocco: the South (minus not at all Moroccan Agadir haha). I like dog-sheep-agadir picture :-)))
Probably need some make up tips from you... : ))
I used to go grow up and go 2 school for 3 years in Agadir.... thanxx 4 this page...
