Not knowing anything about Malaysia's "Pearl of the Orient", a fashion-job brought me to the beautiful tropical island of Penang, about a hundred kilometers South of Langkawi. Better known as the Island of the Betel Nut.

It's true Malaysia played its huge role in history of Indonesia during the changing of the Indian Ocean. Well, a creepy skull from the Niah Caves, Sarawak, took care of some surprises because of its dating back from 35.000 years. |
Indonesia Involved With Penang And Happy-Me finding that Penang had been involved with Indonesia. Early India-writings tell about the mighty place of Sawarnadvipa, known as the Land Of Gold. Some of a mystical, fantastically wealthy kingdom that was a far away, dangerous and unknown island, while legendary tellings holds that searching for this kingdom of Sawarnadvipa the first Indian people crossed the sea to reach the Malay Peninsula.
