    Getting TO/AROUND:
    Pangandaran lies more or less halfway between Bandung and Yogyakarta or Dieng. Banjar is the turn-off point on the Bandung-Yogya rail and road route. Coming from Central Java, an alternative is by train and bus all the way to head for Cilacap and make the very nice backwater trip by boat (prahu) from there to Kalipucang, 17 km north of Pangandaran.

    From Jakarta you can bus directly to Banjar (via Bogor and Bandung). Buses depart every hour until about 11 pm. It's a good idea to take the night bus (less crowded and faster). Watch your gear at this night run. By train showing your Student Card to the stationmaster you might get a cheaper ticket plus a reserved seat. Getting a minibus expect bad road conditions and bridges down!
