"Wildlife everywhere" Jasper National Park by vtveen
Jasper National Park Travel Guide: 421 reviews and 1,035 photos
Jasper National Park is one of the oldest NP's in Canada and is situated in the middle of the impressive scenery of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
We had heard and read a lot about the wildlife in the Rockies, but it was amazing to see so many animals. Sometimes so close to our car, almost unbelievable. At least for us 'Dutchies'.
There are so many 'hot spots' you have to visit. Because we just had one day to spend, you will find tips of the several spots along Icefields Parkway (road nr 93 or 93a).
We made our trip from Jasper to Banff and the scenery we did see was just overwhelming !!
- Pros:great scenery, wildlife
- Cons:some places a little bit overcrowded

inderdaad. toen wij er voor het eerst waren in 1974 stonden er al bordjes met de jaartallen. die zullen er nu nog wel staan?
Enjoyed more of your lovely tips Jaap - and truly a stunning place - must get there one day and take your info with me!is that your stunning shot of the moose on your homepage?!
Hi Jaap, looks like you had a great time except for accommodation. How many hours to drive from Banff to Jasper? Is an overnight stay essential?
I'm really glad you enjoyed Alberta, specially Jasper. I have moose and deer in my back yard from time to time.
Great page on Jasper but I'm envious - I saw no Moose - ah well maybe next time.
I think you had bad luck with the accommodation, Jaap. We stayed in a private hause and it was great.I really don't remember the address I'll ask Larry later.
Jaap, a great page on Jasper with beautiful photos! It must have been nice for you to get such a good Moose sighting. Your experience with the glacier was interesting for me, I've never been that close to one!!
Great pics and tips of Jasper NP.. Canada is on my wishlist...
Great page, beautiful pictures! Wish I could go back there again...it's so nice!
I see you're updating now - great start on this page!! I enjoyed your photos (especially the moose!). Too bad about your hotel, it's such a disappointment when it's not what you expect.
