Cervantes Lodge is one of the few accommodations to stay close to the Nambung National Park with the famous Pinnacles Desert. And located about 270 north of Perth we decided to stay for one night to visit the Pinnacles. Cervantes is just 20 km’s from the desert.
The Lodge is very suitable for backpackers (and those travelling on a budget) with basic dorms and rooms. We had one of the few rooms with private ensuites; not too fancy but anyway.
Upon arrival we had to pay for the room to a rather unfriendly person in the reception and heard it was not possible to have breakfast, because the restaurant was closed (January 2007: still closed) and we had to buy some food for our breakfast next day in a local supermarket.
Although we stayed more often in hostels, this was not or type of accommodation.
Unique Qualities: Suitable for backpackers and those travelling on a budget.
Meant for us: somewhat unsatisfied.
