"Tirrenia/Tuscany" Tirrenia by desert_princess

Tirrrenia is quiet a residential area stretched alongside the Tuscany coast . It looks inhabited mainly by locals - no mass tourism in sight apart from one resort hotel in the center. The fine sand beach that stretch for miles, is divided into numerous small private beaches where you have to pay for umbrella and sunbed.To access them, you have to cross the WWF reserve area that is to be found between the dunes and the town, so no sea promenade with panorama here. For that , you better go to nearby Marina di Pisa, where you can walk along the shore , admiring the pure white stone beaches and the turqouse water.

The preserved area separates the beach from the town and I personnaly found it pretty creppy. I wouldn't venture inside to look for wild animals or birds as the vegetation looked very dense , with lots of lianas. Even trying to look though it was difficult. I can imagine getting lost or even attacked without nobody noticing.
