We are people,united by the love for travel, not from the fear of the unknown. On "Virtual Tourist" ( Will use "VT" for shorter) - we share our travel experiences , what we have seen and how we have seen it with other travelers.You will read here the uncensored version of what the places really offer, and not what the travel brochures and agencies choose to tell you. Building pages and tips on VT is like assembling an endless jigsaw together - a piece here , another there....This is so amusing and creative !!! And the whole world can admire your work... This is my gift to you - About things I've seen and experienced - Read first , ask later!!!Have fun. These are all places we've been to and would love to tell you about. HOW VT WORKS? Click on any name to see all the info , tips and personal experience we have put in here. After you check the chosen page and the "things to do","nightlife" etc tips(don't forget to look for the tiny numbers under the last listed tip,they will take you to the next page ),if the info you gathered is not enough, click on "Travel guide" on top of the page ( under the bold black letters ) and you will have displayed all the info that VT members had uploaded concerning this location. ENJOY !!! After all this ,you can try out the forums - they are fun sometimes too. If you still have questions ,drop me a mail - I'll be happy to be your guide through VT, whenever time and space allows it. For VT I've been translating from Bulgarian, French and German , browsing through old encyclopedias, reading long forgotten travel guides....digging into history, art, folklore.....all of this for my own pleasure and amusement.... |

Music has always played a major role in my life, sometimes I put it on the side because of my other passion - Snowboarding , but it always comes back to me in one way or the other.
All of you that dig into our pages and travel tips , keep in mind that it took us 10 times more time and efforts to write them down than for you to read them - all of this for fame and glory . So If you take the time to RATE the tips you find useful - it won't hurt you that much ,and it will be a small reward for our job. Thank you .

A tour in Annalandia As we create the world we are living in , mine is called Annalandia .
In Annalandia there is often blue and white - blue is the sky over my head, white is the snow under my feet.....
The mountains in Annalandia are called Alps and are spreading as far as the sight goes - an endless panorama of peaks - big, jagged, raw and covered with snow.... We have a saying in Bulgaria - "Mountains grow people , the plain - pumpkins".I heard a similar saying by the "Wild Tiroleans".
Living my life between winters in the Magic Mountains of Tirol / Austria where my heart rests and summers in Bulgaria or around Europe I use every chance to explore another piece of this planet..

It all started once upon the time on my home mountain Vitosha where I learned to Snowboard. After I improved, I decided I want to spent as much time in the mountains as possible and being an instructor helps me bring more people to the sport. Chance took me to the little towns full of life and history, nestled in the snowy valleys in Alps of Austria, where I am presently instructing my favorite sport.I spent my first season in Soll - part of the biggest interconnected skiing area of Austria .The second winter I landed in The Stubai Glacier - Austria's biggest glacier area The last place I visited was Nauders in the upper Inn valley - A tiny village among breathtaking scenery of 3000m peaks .
Snowboarding is not about what board you ride , but where you ride it....

Travel history - far and beyond what means travel to me....traveling makes me feel alive, I need it like the air that I breathe...I'm a modern nomad, an eternally wandering soul, I don't feel that I wanna settle down at any particular place as I get tired of it after awhile and feel home where my notebook is... I'm in love with the mountains, because you are closer to the stars, because you are in a desert of sparkling snow, just you and the millions of little lights in all the colors a snow crystal reflects the sunlight (all of this can happen only if you are a good snowboarder , hiker or freeride skier, otherwise you are stuck to the nursery slope for the week)......but I'm charmed by the desert aswell, because it's a big challenge.I've seen the Bedouins(les hommes bleus) in Morocco - and in my memories they are wrapped in myths and legends. They come to the city to sell handcrafted silver jewelry ,Living lizards and other goods. I love contrasts,because that's how you see the real beauty of life. If you know just one place, one village,one town, one country, how would you know if there is better? How can you value what you are or what you have if you haven't known anything else? How would you know what you're capable of if you don't go for adventure,leaving everything behind? Routine is a word that I hate. As soon as I feel I am starting to get into a cycle,I look for ways to break it." The only constant thing is Change" What do I do 4 a living? I'm a snowboard instructor in the winter, and do different jobs in the summer that help me being in the places I love and most of all helps me travel. I speak already english , french and german ,some russian, some italian, along with my mother's bulgarian. To be able to travel the way I do, you first need to be prepared to meet the unknown. Are you ready to be on your own and let yourself in the hands of fate? ( She knows her job, if you ask me , don't worry ).But If you need your friends at your side to feel happy and secure , than travel is not for you, unless you are able to take them all in your luggage. Don't worry you'll make plenty of wonderful new ones on the way. I don't want to get old to start traveling as I might die young - you never know....We are all given time on this earth, that we need to manage wisely as we never know how much of it we have left of it in our account... So I decided I wants to see the world NOW and HERE as still young , not "One DAY,( when eventually )I have enough TIME or MONEY" - one of those factors is always missing it seems..... Since I discovered I can go anywhere , there is the BIG QUESTION - "Where Next?" it...See my travels , but come back as well ,as I always have things to share.... I started traveling with my parents when I was 6. We inhabited the great kingdom of Morocco for 5 years - that was in the dawn of my life...The next 9 years I spent in Bulgaria doing my education.... traveling on my own since 1994, when I took a crazy trip to Budapest for a Beastie Boys concert with Nikya.I used to confuse Budapest and Bucharest as they both start with "B" and end with "est", but after that trip, I learned the difference... 2007 - Sorry people, I have absolutely NO TIME for building tips and pages - It's been a hectic year of work and travels... I am still making records of my travels under the form of picture galleries, so you can still check up my travels at > Anna's webshots galleries Enjoy .....
