If you visit Singapore and have not seen Night Safari then you have seen nothing. It is one of the unique things you can do. Take a cab or a bus to mandai zoo and get the tickets. It is a bit expensive but worth every dime. A small train would take you around the zoo with some nice running commentary about the animals. The lighting is superb and feels more like a moonlit night than artificial light. There is no feeling of cages and the animals appear so free to roam around. You can walk also which is a better way to see the animals.

Sentosa is a small island just off the coast of Singapore. You can drive up there. It has many fun things and museums - the best is the museum of Singapore's history and they show the wax statues of the Japanese surrender

Kusu is about 5.6 km out in the sea off Singapore island. They have a regular ferry service which can take you there. The island has a chinese monastry, some pythons and a large collection of turtles. It has nice beaches to have a swim and some parks to sit and relax.

Sri Mariamman Temple is the oldest of Singapore's Hindu religious buildings. It is dedicated to the goddess Mariamman who is known for her power in curing epidemic illness and diseases. It is located in the heart of Chinatown. It was founded by a Penangian - Naraina Pillai - in 1819. It is a nice place to visit - even if you are not a follower of the Hindu faith.
