Salterns

Half the island is composed of salterns, so salt culture is a huge part of Noirmoutier's identity. I know you can visit some of them. Might be a good experience. You can buy salt there, and local oysters as well.

For those interested in photography, this is sthg really photogenic.

Beaches

Noirmoutier has several great beaches, which are very different. From wild, duned beach Luzeronde (half nude beach, be aware) to the sophisticated Bois de la Chaise, you will find a beach adapted to what you are waiting for. From the beaches I know, here is a list of great places:
