YOU GOTTA STOP AND REST Billings is one of major cities in Montana, featuring at least three oil refineries and probably double that amount of stock yards. Cowboy and oil country it is. Interstates 90 and 94 intersect here and you can either go to North Dakota or Wyoming at this junction. Located on the Yellowstone River the city is surrounded on the North and South by picturesque rimrock. The airport is located atop the north rim. Again, it is an intersting place, a convenient rest stop, but I'm glad I live in Oregon. But thanks to the Billingsites who made us welcome. |
