"BIRCHY DOES O'HARE" Chicago by birchy99

Sometimes I get the feeling that air travel is beginning to resemble what train and bus travel used to be like years ago. I really get this deja vu at United's terminals at O'Hare airport. Noisy, crowded, bustling, did I mention noisy? Ugh!!
But I guess if you are going anywhere in this country you almost have to pass through O'Hare or another airport like it.
Recently we arrived on a United flight from Seattle to make connections with a British Midland Flight to Manchester, Uk. We arrived on time and then took the airport train to the International Terminal which is located somewhere near Wisconsin. To find the train we had to go through the parking structure because of construction, and for sure we learned why Chicago is called the Windy City.
The International Terminal is a seemingly island of quiet in a sea of termoil. We found our gate quickly, boarded our BMI flight and were off to the UK.

• Pros:Never been to Chicago proper, but it has to be nicer than O'Hare
• Cons:Avoid O'Hare if possible. Try Anchorage.
