We visited Nimes for a long weekend in February 2005. We flew with Ryanair, and got a cheap hotel near the airport at Garons, just 5km from the centre of Nimes
Pros and Cons
- Pros:lovely city, easy to walk around, amazing buildings, very friendly people
- Cons:taxi drivers tend to rip you off!
- In a nutshell:beautiful french city

Very beautiful pics. You should come back one day in spring or summer, or even during one of the three ferias to enjoy the sun as well.
Great photos and tips! Nimes has a great amphitheatre. A similar place you may want to check out in the future is Arles!
