chbuchie from Antwerp asked for digitized paintings of Etretat on his beautiful Etretat page. I never thought of digitizing a painting and putting it here so I thank him for the idea.

We started painting last year when my husband retired and a photo I took at Etretat was made to be a project. I've seen other paintings and photos with the same boat so it must have been there for a very long time. The kitty is mine and just found its way into the painting. How could that happen?

Here's the original photo I used for the painting. There were plenty of boats there but this was the most picturesque.

There were people walking along the top of the falaise and there is a footpath up from the town.

If you turn around and the famous arch falaise (d'Aval) is at your back, you have a lovely view of the Normandy coast. This goes on for miles and is incredibly beautiful.

The sun came out later and I got the same shot with blue skies and fluffy white clouds. It's a fabulous place to take photos, hike, walk along the shore . . . enjoy nature.
