Mirepoix Travel Guide: 5 reviews and 22 photos
There are two villages named Mirepoix and unfortunately they are both in the Midi-Pyrenees region of France so they come up looking like a duplication on the Virtual Tourist Search Engine.
The first choice on the search is Mirepoix in the Gers region and is northwest of Toulouse and north of Auch. I've never been there and it is not much visited . . . although next time we're in the region I'm going to see what is there. LOL
When you do your VT Search and get:
Europe > France > Midi-Pyrénées > Mirepoix
Europe > France > Midi-Pyrénées > Mirepoix
Europe > France > Midi-Pyrénées > Mirepoix-sur-Tarn
you need to choose the middle one. The top selection is in the Gers; the second one is in the Ariege (the famous one) and the bottom one is in the Haute-Garonne but is spelled differently so not as confusing.
I'm not sure how to get around the fact that each region isn't listed separately except to put this explanation here and send you back to Search.
