We had no trouble parking and walked across a footbridge into the lovely old town. It was a rainy Sunday so there weren't many people about.

We soon spotted the cathedral spire ahead of us. It's not hard to find . . . and we walked past more half-timbered houses. This is a beautiful city.

This is the cathedral from the Place beside it. There is a carousel for the children and lots of park benches under small trees.

The big surprise is when you walk into the cathedral. See the travelogue!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Beautiful half-timbered houses; great art museum
  • Cons:It's pretty quiet on a rainy Sunday . . .
  • In a nutshell:Sundays are quiet so if you want action, go during the week!

Our tourist paths cross again in off the beaten path France, 10 years apart. Keep travelling.
